• Cutting Edge vs. Base Angle

Working in harsh environments and winter conditions tend to make harmful obstacles inevitable. As a result, the tillage equipment will often be beating loudly - this is just the nature of the beast!. Although they are similar in function and appearance, each has a different purpose. To solve any confusion, here is the breakdown of each part, detailing its function and giving guidance on when you should use each of them!

    Cutting Edge vs. Base Angle

The base angle is set at the bottom of the rim edge of the snow thrower style, such as the straight edge of the firing edge or the debt that makes real contact with the ground. In a straight plow, the base angle is attached to the back of the plow by a set of two arms. These weapons then connect to the bar and the spring mechanism that allows the low angle to complete its purpose: move action. When the snow ejector faces and hits an object, the bar and spring allow the base angle to "move" backward and move to its place, avoiding the maximum impact. Angle Plow Base DEXT is connected differently using a number of pins and springs twisting, but still, achieves the same purpose. In addition, the corner of the DEXT base comes with a curb guard and a bucket in the snow collectors. In general, the corner of the base is the part that helps to protect both plow and truck against unexpected obstacles that may appear on the job.

Because the bottom of the plow makes real contact with the ground, it takes on a lot of wear. The main work of the avant-garde is to provide an additional layer of protection to the bottom of the plow. The cutting edge is an attachment that is fixed to the bottom of the plow directly above the base angle. When you wear the cutting edge, it can simply be discarded and replaced. The idea is to wear out a replaceable part easily, instead of spending the actual plow itself.

All the snow blowers from the Trip Edge Boss, in addition to the DXT, come standard with the latest pieces. The great thing about the Deck Plow is that you do not need the avant-garde immediately. The base angle can be used as the initial wear edge and can provide nearly two inches of corrosion protection. When it's time to install the cutting edge on the DXT, simply remove the screwed snow scoop and apply a new edge to the top of the base angle. This new avant-garde will come with a built-in snow pickup specially made for debt. For all other plows, the cutting edge will be screwed into the plow. Once this cutting edge is worn out, discard the old part and attach the new cutting edge to the top of the base angle.
